January 2018 Newsletter
Welcome to the New Year. We all make resolutions, whether we do it intentionally or not, so here is to hoping we live up to them!
Christmas tree pick-up: Town residents wishing to have their Christmas trees hauled to the landfill will need to have them placed on their easements by January 8th. For trees over five (5) feet tall, please cut them in half.
Christmas Elves program: This wonderful program sponsored by Rick/Mandy Slaugh and Syndee Johnson once again ensured that some of our school aged children had a special Christmas morning. A heartfelt thanks goes our to wrapper elves: Sage Walters, Catlynn Mosley, Kobe Mosley, Taige Walker, Lexy Taylor and Kolbi Wilkensen.
Town of Manila and Boy/Cub Scouts Food Drive: Thank you to everyone who donated to make this a success again this year.
Mayor/Town Council Update: A large amount of gratitude goes out to Gretchen Northcott for the diligent job she did as the interim Mayor. Mayor Northcott made sure the Town was ship shape when she left office. Ross Catron also served the Town very well and was a great addition with all of his knowledge. The water project has been continuing this winter due to our wonderful weather and that will help for it to be completed on time.
May you be well and Happy in the New Year!
