December 2017 Newsletter
The Town of Manila is sponsoring a Winter Food Drive. Please bring dry goods or canned goods to the town office if you have any donations. All donations are used to help local families in need.
Winter Blues: The winter season comes with its share of difficulties. In the past, some residents have had problems with frozen water meters and water lines. We would like to remind everyone that if you need your water shut off please call the town office, so we can assist you. The water meters need to be accessed by the public works employees only.
The Town of Manila is encouraging everyone to have a pressure regulator value (PRV) on their personal water lines going into their homes. We are reminding everyone that per ordinance the Town of Manila is only responsible for maintaining/repairing the Town’s infrastructure. Any problems that occur after the Town’s water meter and onto personal property is the homeowner’s responsibility.
Surplus: The Town has a few Surplus items: Please visit our website at manilautah.com (under the “town info” tab) for descriptions of items and details. Or you can contact the Town Office at 435-784-3143.
After-Hours Emergency Contact: The numbers listed below are for AFTER-HOURS emergencies ONLY (Weekend emergencies or after 5:00 pm on weekdays) These calls would be in regard to Public Works issues and not billing/account concerns. During regular office hours, Town and County residents must call into the Town office to place work orders and must not circumvent the regular standard procedure. Jerry 435-828-7845 or Curtis 435-778-0014
I would publicly like to thank the staff at the Town of Manila: Marlena Connor, Vicky Walters, Jerry Muir, Curtis Hyde and Sunny Bouck for a great year!
This will be my last official newsletter as the Mayor, it has been a pleasure to serve you and I would like to wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season!!
Mayor Gretchen Northcott
